Elexiri — Detecting · Selecting · Ejecting

This book just happened. It began as an attempt to understand how to write for audiences other than academics (revealing something of my persona in the process, but that’s not particularly important). It was a genuine joy to create a fictional world and watch its characters wander about, change their minds, and eventually settle down as the story matured and became more final. I’ve learned a great deal — about myself, about the world, and about how to use all sorts of digital tools, including the one that now hosts this website. Tricky, yes, but since you’ve found your way here and are reading this, it must work somehow. How, exactly, remains a mystery. I don’t mind.

I also realized that taking a political stance right now comes with a cost. To minimize that cost I decided to write under the pseudonym TJISO — an acronym for The Jury Is Still Out. Why that phrase surfaced, I no longer remember. I suspect Banksy played a role, or at least the idea of creating something that could stand on its own while I stayed in the shadows. No claims of being in the same league — I’m very much an amateur by comparison.

Here, on this site, I’ll add whatever seems necessary as the project evolves. Perhaps other texts will appear, although I’m not planning anything at the moment. It is tempting to expand Elexiri.org into a small cabinet of corporate bull, but for now, my main objective is simply to get my story out there. That’s enough.
